St Colman’s Cathedral – Majestic in its setting on Cobh’s terraced slopes overlooking the town. Building commenced in 1868 and it took 47 years to build. It holds the largest Carillon in the British Isles with wonderful views of the harbour and town.

Sirius Art Centre: a beautiful Italiante building designed by Anthony Salvin. It was built in 1854 by James Hugh Smith Barry of Fota. It was built to house the first yacht club in the world which was originally founded on Haulbowline in 1720.
Cobh Museum: Formerly the Presbyterian Church known locally as Scot’s Church,1854 -1960. The museum reflects our social, cultural, economic, maritime and spiritual history
Lusitania Memorial: Designed by Jerome O Connor it is dedicated to the memory of those lost on The Lusitania which was torpedoed 25 miles west of Queenstown with the loss of 1198 lives
Sonia O Sullivan Statue: Designed by local sculptor James McLoughlin it is a celebration of our own Golden Girl who won Gold at he 1995 World Championships 5000m and Silver 5000m at the 2000 Olympic games.
The Bible Gardens: These restful and reflective gardens surround the former Admiralty house built in 1886. Now, home to a convent of nuns, there is a café on site and the gardens are free to visit.
The Shantyman: Cobh’s newest attraction installed on the five foot way December 2024. Gifted to us by the owner of Belvelly Castle, the Wilson’s.
Titanic Memorial Gardens: A visit here takes you across the town to the Eastern quarter, the oldest part of Cobh, known locally as the Holy Ground!
Cobh Rebel Walking tour: Visit 16 historical sites of ambushes, safe houses, Barracks and places of Detention of the Cobh Republican Volunteers – Cobh’s “A” Company of the 4th Battalion IRA.
Jack Hickeys Murals /Art Trail: Jack Hickey is a local artist who specializes in Photo-realism. He won the Hennessey Portrait prize in 2017 and was commissioned by the National Art Gallery to paint Marie Cassidy a state pathologist.
The Deck of Cards: A unique architectural feature of Cobh town – the homes were built to house the personnel working in the opposite Barracks, now a garden. It became a world renowned location for Instagram photos!
Belvelly Castle: Built in the 13th century by the Anglo-Norman Hodnett family. In 1581 the castle came into the possession of Sir Walter Raleigh! By the 19th century it was in ruin and lay that way until 2016 when the Wilson family bought it and began restoration.
Fota Wildlife Park – Fabulous day out for all the family. Meet Cork’s pride of lions and other animals just a short drive from Cobh.
Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens – Immerse yourself in the charms of this elegant Regency House and enjoy the tranquil beauty of Fota’s gardens.
Midleton Distillery Experience: The Old Midleton distillery is a carefully restored 18th century distillery on 12 acres where the world famous Jameson Irish Whiskey is brewed. Approx 17km east of Cobh.
Barryscourt Castle Carrigtwohill: Barryscourt Castle was the seat of the great Anglo-Norman Barry family and is one of the finest examples of a restored Irish Tower House. Dating from between 1392 and 1420, the Castle has an outer bawn wall and largely intact corner towers.
